This site is intended to highlight and recognize a rare category of DeTomaso race cars, the Group 5 racing Pantera (and it's equivalent IMSA GTX category in the USA) of 1976 - 1981.

There were only a few such cars from that era. Afterwards, two of those were converted back to Group 4 specification, one was converted to a Group C car, one was destroyed in a fire, and one is now driven as a "street car" in the USA!  These are indeed a rare breed of Pantera!

With several Group 5 Panteras either racing or being rebuilt to race in future events, owners and fans will have the opportunity to enjoy and honor that period when a few intrepid individuals and teams carried the DeTomaso banner into the top echelons of GT racing!
